Yoga/Mobility Classes

New Species Mobility training is a combination of yin and yang yoga techniques specifically designed to help CrossFit athletes reach their highest potential. Yang yoga is a series of poses that emphasizes building strength and stretching muscles. Yin yoga focuses on stretching and opening connective tissue, including ligaments, tendons, and facia. During a New Species Mobility class student’s will be lead through a few muscular stretches and then focus mainly on opening the connective tissue. This practice will increase the range of motion, aid in muscle recovery, promote relaxation and overall body awareness.

Mobility class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels with no prior yoga experience required. Our instructor is trained in therapeutic yoga techniques to accommodate any level of aches and pains.

The coach

Meaghan Brown is a certified yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance since 2006 and began CrossFit in 2014. Meaghan believes that the balance of strength and flexibility will help athletes reach their full potential.
