23, of The Colony, Texas; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 173rd Special Troops Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Bamberg, Germany; died Dec. 24, in Baraki Barak, Afghanistan, from injuries caused by small-arms fire.
