FORGED FRIDAY

Today is Forged Friday at New Species CrossFit. This is our chance as athletes and patriots to honor the fallen. Today’s primary objective is to remain focused on exactly what we are doing at any given time. By doing so you’ll be able to put forth your best mental and physical effort. Your best and only your best is necessary in order to honor Army Private First Class Devin J. Michel who died October 24, 2009 while serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Pfc. Michel was 19 years of age from Stockton, Ilinois. Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died Oct. 24 in Zhari district, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised
